Builders Award

The Alberta Bobsleigh Association Builders Award is designed to recognize those who have significantly contributed to the development and growth of the sport of bobsleigh in Alberta. A Builder is an athlete, coach, trainer, manager, official, administrator or volunteer.

Qualifications for Nomination

A Builder will have demonstrated commitment and dedication through many years of service and accomplishment. A Builder may be either active or inactive to be considered and shall be evaluated for his or her outstanding effort normally over a period of at least ten years, but not necessarily consecutive and must have been a member of the Alberta Bobsleigh Association.

Nomination

• Nominations shall be in writing and contain the fullest possible data concerning the record and merits as well as the years of service of the person eligible for nomination.
• Nominations shall be sent to the President of the Association by July 1st of each year and must be signed by two (2) nominators.
• A Selection Committee of a minimum of three members of the Board of Directors will select a maximum of two nominees. Nominations are weighted according to the following criteria:
  years of service as a “builder” accomplishments achieved at various levels due to their efforts
