Summer Training Program
This season Alberta Bobsleigh will be offering an Summer Training Program to help guide athletes through the off-ice season from April 1 – October 10, 2010. This summer program offers a variety of training support, including:
- Ice House sessions
- ID Camps
- Testing Camps
- Education sessions,
- Development Coordinator
In order to cover many of the costs associated with our summer programs, an off-season fee will be charged to athletes wishing to take part in official off-season training. These fees are separate from your club membership fees, which will need to be paid at sign-up night in the fall.
There are three classes of fees for varying levels of participation within the ABA summer training program.
Basic - Ice House Drop-in / First Timer
Fee: $20.00 per session
NOTE: your first drop-in fee will be credited to the “Complete ABA Training Program” if you wish to continue.
You will receive:
· Access to Alberta Bobsleigh push coaches
· Access to bobsleigh spikes & helmets
Ice House Summer Pass
Fee: $150.00
You will receive:
· Access to all Alberta Bobsleigh Ice House sessions from April 1 - October 16, 2010.
· Access to Alberta Bobsleigh push coaches
· Access to Ice House bobsleigh spikes & helmets
Complete ABA Training Program
Fee: $400.00
You will receive:
· 1 year gym membership to the Bob Niven Training Centre (BNTC)
· Access to Alberta Bobsleigh speed and strength coaches
· Access to Canadian Sport Centre Calgary trainers located at the BNTC
· Specialized training program
· Access to all Alberta Bobsleigh Ice House sessions
· Access to Alberta Bobsleigh push coaches
· Access to Ice House bobsleigh spikes & helmets
· All education sessions: Psychology 101, Nutrition 101, Bobsleigh Equipment 101, Anti Doping Clinic, education and awareness
