Alberta Bobsleigh Association is looking for athletes! We are starting our 2017/2018 season recruitment campaign with summer Ice House "Learn to Push" sessions. These will be posted on our website calendar soon. We will have one per month in June, July, August and September. Come and push with us.
So, yes, we are a winter sport, but at some point sliding becomes dangerous. The extremely low temperatures this week not only make it hazardous for athletes and coaches to be outside for an extended period of time, but it also can freeze up the steering components to your bobsleigh. Stay warm for the next few days and we hope to be back on the track next week. I am working on new dates for our Alberta Cup race that was scheduled for this weekend. Stay tuned....
